I still thank Miss Carter in my mind a lot for spurring my interest in history and politics even though she busted me for "being dishonest" for saying i had to go to the bathroom when i was really heading to the TV in the lunchroom to find out if Nixon or Humphrey got elected on the 1st Weds in Nov, 1968. She was right of course and it added to my disappointment that Nixon was The One...Peter
