Summary
(From the Myer Kaplon photo collection at the Brunswick Community Library; Frederick County Public Libraries)
Jim--Some of the waitresses in the cafeteria were Annabelle Taulton, Rex Merriman, Clara Mentzer, Helen Lust, Yonnie Longerbeam.
James Cox Jr: There was a bowling alley, lockers, barber shop (talking baseball, baseball, and more baseball ... George Merriman), cafeteria (24hrs, can you remember the always-there waitress Ladies' names?), small store, RR apartments, 24x7 card games (mostly Pitch), and dominos. My Dad worked the local yards as an engineer (when he wasnt on the Road) and I had to make sure he didnt catch me in the 'Y' during late hours when I should have been home. I watched it burn down in what seemed like just a few minutes. No more grilled cheeseburgers in the middle of the night.
