Summary

Tri-County League 1938 - Brunswick MD. Taken in front of old Eagles Club.

Bottom row (left to right) 2nd player is Joe Feaster, 4th is Genie Bowers.

Middle row (left to right) 1st on left is Richard Bowers, 4th is John Hammond and 5th is a Hahn.

Top row (left to right) 6th person is Clyde "Red" Hawes, manager.

Mr. Hawes, just 28 years old at the time, had been forced to retire from playing in his 20s after throwing out his arm on a throw from center field. According to his son Drew, "he started his long career as a manager / coach then because his arm was never the same and he loved the game so this was a way to stay in it."
