Summary

Local folks bundled up ready for the Veterans' Day parade on a cold November Sunday in the Sixties in front of the old Shell Station on West Potomac Street. Mr. Kaplon took the photo across the street in front of his family store.

In the front row, Betty Huffer is sitting on a folding lawn chair in center of the photo with the scrarf next to her mother, Ethel Smith. Betty's husband Merhle is standing just to the left of her (in tie & overcoat) hugging nephew Keith Huffer (standing on lawn chair). Mehrl's nephew Todd is in the striped pants/hooded coat/gloves. Sandra Huffer (mother of the two boys) is standing beside her brother Mehrl. . 2nd row, Rebecca Loy in on the far left side, Chester Loy is 4th from left. Pam Barger is standing sideways towards the right of of the photo with white furry earmuffs.

Funny shivering look on the face of the girl under the blanket on the far lower right!
