Summary
This photo is from the 1994 BHS Yearbook and shows the members of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). This was the first year that VICA existed as a club at Brunswick and it consisted of students from the Auto I & II classes. Similar to FFA (Future Farmers of America) members of VICA competed with other students at various competitions at the local, state, and national levels. Competitions not only involved public speaking but also in the area of diagnostic and repair in which two students had to diagnose a defect in an automobile and then repair it in a given time period. Eventually BHS became the only high school that still offered automotive classes on-site whereas students from all the other high school must attend the Career and Technology Center in Frederick if they are interested in automotive repair. Front Row (L to R) - Clint Ninninger, Billy Buck, Sam Harrison, Kerry Conley, Willie Minnick, John Strine, Mr. Jon Williams (Advisor) Middle Row - Guy Crutchley, Jason Shoemaker, Jason Ninninger, Mike Summers, Jason Russell, Tony Nipper, Joe Kinser, Greg Barnes, Seth Moser, Dennis Day Top Row - Alan Rudy, Josh Nelson, Jeremy Grenier, Roger Hyder, Matt Bugbee, Terence Mentzer, Charlie Miller,
