The cover page to the advertising section of the 1959 BHS Railroader yearbook shows one side of the first blocks of West and East Potomac Streets, as it looked in those days. How many of those old businesses do you remember?

See the Levin West house and Grace Episcopal Church up on A Street perched over downtown.

Debbie Crabb That's the way I remember our town!

Ed Moss Knew them all well. Man, I miss simple life back then. If you were a guy back, then. Kinda like living like "Tom Sawyer." The river. The canal. The towpath where we would ride our bikes. Small town living. It was good. Life was good no matter what you had. I miss those days

David Stevens I remember all of them, I was in tenth grade in 1969;I lived on south maple avenue. The square corner was jumping with activity back then.

Linda Lloyd Grew up in Brunswick. I also have been in all the stores on Main St. The town was booming

Chris Ayres Houck I’ll bet I’ve been in each one of those building as a kid. Recall, Bank of Brunswick. S&N Katz, Darr’s Tavern, Coffman-Fisher (Lace store) Ephraim’s Liquors, Dr. Edmonds, Peoples Home & Auto, Metropolitan tavern. Such a great small town to grow up in.
