Brunswick City Council Business Spotlight Wing’n Pizza Shack It’s not even noon and Bradley Kefauver is very busy breaking down pizza boxes. Business is booming since Wing’n Pizza Shack located at 100 Souder Rd. reopened following the unfortunate fire last December 2017. Bradley is very happy. “Wing’n Pizza Shack followers were ready and hungry for us to reopen. We made $12,500.00 our first week back,” Bradley said, artfully foldingpizza boxes in the air much like a juggler juggles balls. Bradley loves the pizza business. “I worked for Chuck E. Cheese’s for seven years, five of them as a manger. I could have been a General Manager but I was young and stupid, always getting into trouble,” Bradley laughed. He is now very serious about making Wing’n Pizza Shack a success. He responds on social media to customer comments and is constantly looking to improve service and product. Bradley’s history with Wing’n Pizza Shack goes back to the previous owner, Tim Simmons. They’ve been good friends since they were 14 years old. “I worked at his location over in Middletown before it closed and I did deliveries here at Brunswick and ran the store. So when Tim wanted to sell, it was a good fit.” Bradley has a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a masters in Cyber Security. When asked why the restaurant business, he laughed and said, “I don’t want to work for anybody.” New menu items include lasagna and a whopping 24 inch pizza. He will feature a specialty pizza each week, like his corn beef Rueben pizza. “I’ve gotten good feedback on that one.” He hopes once operations settle, he can expand into more locations. He prefers the takeout and delivery business model.
