Note ads for Willard's Hotel (building still stands on the corner in Knoxville), Wenner, Swank & Co Hardware, L.S. Harman Cigars (Harman building is across from old Newberry's, but this business may have been between the tracks) across the top. Also Dr. Slicer Hedges next to D.D. Seibert's Bicycles & Musical Instruments in upper right. I've always wondered if Mr. Seibert, the BHS band director was descended from that business owner. Dr. W.H. Gannon operated a pharmacy on the railroad side of the old Gross Building, which was then a precursor to a modern department store....Peter

Bunny Renaud: I am sure...Luther Horine used to work for Zambelli Brothers who shot off the fireworks at events like new years and 4th of July at the Baltimore Harbor and Thunder Over Louisville before the Derbyshire...He was from there and I know he was a cousin. We had an Uncle Alvie whom I think was the piano teacher's generation
