Summary

This photo was taken during an awards presentation at a Lions Club Meeting in Brunswick in May 1956. The men are Harold Knott (then Brunswick High School Principal, 1954-56) and Lee Smith (later Brunswick Elementary School Principal in the 1960s).

Mr. Smith was a pioneer of "the gradeless program" for BES students starting in the 1965-66 school year, before he was transferred to a Howard County school where he continued the practice.

Looks like Mr. Knott is giving and Mr. Smith is receiving. Does anyone know what the occasion was and where the Lions held their meetings in those days?
